I was attracted to join Dardan from a FTSE 100 because I knew very early on that this was a serious business with tenure and impressive people from the corporates, Ministry of Defence, prison service, police, security and military. I am trusted to do my job and make decisions; in just two months I have been trusted to invest in a new applicant tracking system, build content and a careers page with loads of more exciting projects to come.
Security is an industry where people are your product but it is also an industry where pay is dictated by challenging margins, where your core teams are client based and disparate, staff turnover can be high and its tough to make sure people feel that they provide an invaluable service and belong to "one" culture. I still dont know the answers to all these challenges but I know I am supported in the process of addressing them and invested in finding solutions to build a fantastic company to work for.
