The Opportunity
Working as a part of the Finance Team, providing financial and commercial reporting and analysis, developing and managing excellent relationships with our stakeholders, provision of internal and external reporting, and maintaining financial support for the business unit.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounting data, company data/analytics and provision of administrative support to the team and all stakeholders. The post holder will have a good knowledge of and experience in using computerised accounting packages and be accountancy qualified or working towards one.
A passion for numbers, accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to get to grips with new systems and processes quickly are vital for this role.
Dardan will sponsor the appropriate Accountancy qualification, to support with professional growth.
Your duties include (but are not limited to):
- Performing financial accounting, analysis and reporting
- Conduct process analysis, working with senior colleagues to drive continuous improvement
- Processing of supplier’s invoices on Sage Intacct and liaising with managers responsible for the approval of invoices
- Agreement and resolution of differences on Supplier Statements
- Reconcile Bank statements in Sage Intacct
- Process payment of supplier invoices
- Ensuring any debit balances are understood and kept to a minimum
- Tracking the value of impending payments to suppliers
- Create Creditors Report, (including Ad Hoc) and help resolve queries
- Agreeing and posting of credit card analysis; credit card administration
- Assisting with general queries from external suppliers, clients and internal staff members
- Providing timely and accurate reports when requested
- Consolidating financial data (for example budgets, income statement forecasts etc) and analysing against Dardan’s financial goals to identify pain points and opportunities
- Providing recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance, in line with strategic objectives
- Assembling and summarising data, providing reporting on Dardan’s financial status and existing / potential risks
- Developing financial models and conduct benchmarking, reporting on any performance changes over time
Essential Skills and Experience
- Professionalism, Discretion, Commercial acumen
- Keen to progress with a professional and accredited qualification linked to the role
- Good communication skills and understanding of finance and data analytics
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Competent on Microsoft Office products, and Accounting Software currently Sage Intacct
- Effective communication with finance and non-finance staff
- Good understanding of the organisation’s objectives and operations
- Basic understanding of technical accounting issues
